Post 4

All of our new furniture just came in this morning. We met the captain, who happens to be the great-nephew of Mr. Murray Flynn, Silver Sea’s father. How cool is that? I think that he might be able to help us “set her free”, as I like to say. I’m really excited because the ghost may soon be free from this world. I’m also really anxious and nervous because the captain leaves tomorrow. If I don’t have an idea by then, well, who knows what will happen. My mom invited him to dinner tonight, so I have until then. I’ve been tearing apart my brain, trying to think of how he can help. I know, deep down, that he can. Wish me luck!

Post 3

Me and my new friend Kiera have discovered lots of more info about our "ghost friend", Silver Sea (aka, Muirin Flynn). We went into her room today. I'm not sure if she would want us to give away any of her personal information, but I can tell you this: She's a real ghost. How do I know? Well, I've seen her. She was sitting on her windowsill, looking through the trees. It was a little scary. But I hope that if she still was alive, we would be friends. She died when she was young. Maybe if I knew more about her, she would become more comfortable with me being around. She does live in my house, after all. She's a ghost. She can't leave. Maybe, I could help give her a peaceful rest. I'm sure she's tired of being here on Earth. After all, she's been here for over 100 years. Well, it's almost dinner time and we're going to eat at the Beglan's house (a family in our village) tonight. I should be going. I'll blog more later. I promise.

Post 2

We've arrived in Ireland. Actually, we got here two days ago, but it's been a little busy around here, so, sorry that this is only my second post. My mom hasn't even started homeschooling me yet! Anyway, we met all the families in ur village except one. They didn't come out to meet us, so they probably want to be left alone. I meant to ask my new friend Kiera about them, but we were too busy talking about a ghost that we thik might live in our new house. We don't know much about her, except that her name was Muirin and she told everyone to call her Silver Sea. She loved the ocean a lot, and she was always staring out at it. I'm not exactly sure why, and I'd like to find out. Well, it's early and I haven't had breakfast yet, so I'd better get downstairs. Keep checking in, please!

I'm Kayleigh. I'm twelve years old and I'm an only child. My dad is an author, so we get to move to the places he's writing about. I've lived in 7 U.S. states, but now I'm on a plane, going to my new home in Ireland. Yep. It was a shock to me, but I'm pretty used to the idea now. We're moving in on the very west coast (the capital, Dublin, is on the other side of the country) in a very old house that overlooks the Cliffs of Moher. Just not the touristy part. They're these huge cliffs that jut out into the Atlantic Ocean (they're about 700 feet tall!). Well, keep checking in for more information about my journey.
